Heya folks, so I've been trying out GW2 for the first time and quite enjoying it. However theres one issue thats quite annoying. Launching the game, getting to the character selection screen, double clicking/pressing play and then nothing happens, play button gets greyed out. Then a minute or two later the entire internet connection itself Bugs: Game, Forum, Website. Guild Wars 1 Connection Errors. There have been a few discussions regarding these on facebook. At least 4 guildies and I are all experiencing the same issues with logging in. I can get into character select, but when I go to choose a character I get code 007 (connection error) or code 040 (server outage) and with the Now restart your internet connection or restart your computer. Start the Guild Wars 2 launcher and allow the download to complete. If this issue persists after making the changes above, please also try the following: Right-click the Guild Wars 2 shortcut. I'm afraid not. The issue is not the map servers. The issue is the character data server, which needs to be the same for the whole zone. The data replication you speak of is just not fast enough (in fact, it suffers the same latency as the normal GW2 connections, you just don't see it due to the media used - noone cares or notices if youtube video shows up in OCX few seconds later after all).
