When I plug a standard Apple lightning/USB cord into the correct IPhone usb port, the phone charges, but I get “no Apple CarPlay device found” on the Mazda screen. This is a hub and cable kit, not Mazda OEM, by the way. To do the upgrade you need to update the infotainment software first, then install the new hub and cables. Some of the knockoff hubs, like this one, may or may not work in our cars. If you want to do the upgrade you have a couple of choices. I'd suggest that you first read though this blog With after market there’s a risk it won’t work, but you could always return it depending on where you buy it from. I have the same question. The hub unit from my local Mazda dealer costs 130 USD + tax (converted from my currency) but those on AliExpress costs only 50 USD with very good reviews and lots of orders. xQXb.
